Tír Raon (2024), meaning "terrain" in Gaeilge, was a group exhibition featuring resident artists Cadhla Forde, Grace Wallis, Liam McHale and Katie Lynch. Exploring themes of land and ecology, Studio 8 transformed a vacant space in The Cornstore, Galway City, into a temporary gallery, aligning with their mission to bring art to unexpected and alternative locations within the city.

Cadhla Forde comments on transforming the vacant space - ‘It is Bittersweet finishing up Tír Raon but absolutely great to get to use an otherwise vacant space and bring it to life for a few days! Thinking about Kfest in Killorgan and how they turn the vacant spaces in the town into make - shift galleries for the few days. Just like we did in The Cornstore the past few days. It brings such vibrancy into the town. With so much dereliction and vacancy in Galway City there should be some incentive for landlords to donate their space to the arts for a couple of weeks while they are otherwise vacant and in a lul period of finding a new long term tenant. It is a win win as smaller arts organisations get a space to exhibit (which there is a lack of in the City Centre) and the landlords usually get free cleaning/ painting and sprucing up labour’.
